The Charlevoix Historical Society's exhibit on the history of Big Rock Point includes a video called "Headstart on Tomorrow" made by Ronald Reagan in his role as spokesman for the General Electric Company before he entered politics. He is heard speaking of Big Rock Point and Charlevoix on this short film which reflects the optimism of the times and the burgeoning faith in a new nuclear industry.
